Pumpkin Patch with my Niece

So I get a phone call last week from my sister telling me that I need to take Trinity to the pumpkin patch this year. Last year she got to go with her pre school class so I took her brother. Well, this year he is in pre school and went with his class. Her thinking is that I took him last year so I must have to take her this year. I was so happy to hear that she wanted to go!
My friend from work was planning on going to a pumpkin patch with her niece too so we decided to take the girls together. It was a different one that I hadn't previously been to. It was a bit of a drive too. When we got there we did a pumpkin launch, walked through a really dark hay maze that you needed a flash light to see where you were going, played in the kids play area, Trinity got to ride a pony and then we picked out our pumpkins. On the way home we had lunch at Burger King and then Trinity came over and played at my house for a couple of hours with the kids.

Last Friday the kids didn't have school and I don't work Fridays so the kids and I spent the day together. We went and had lunch at one of my favorite places called Hula Boy. The kids had never eaten there before so it was a treat for them. After lunch we went to a pumpkin patch here in town. The kids played on a hay pyramid, walked through a hay maze, they got to see and pet the animals, we did a pumpkin launch, walked through a corn maze while Cody led the way and then went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. We gave up on the corn maze when we found the escape hatch which put us almost to the pumpkin patch that you would normally take a tractor ride to. We picked out our pumpkins and then took the tractor ride back to the main area. Rachael washed all the pumpkins off for us and then we headed to the car.
After the pumpkin patch we took Rachael over to her Friend's house for a sleep over and the boys and I went to get Halloween costumes, Dylan's hair cut and then dinner at Taco Bell. What a great day spent with my kids.

Girl's Beach Trip

A few weeks ago I was invited to go camping at the beach with some girls I went to school with. I hadn't seen them in a long time and it was so much fun to catch up. We left Friday night. We got to the beach at about 9:30. We set up camp and had some drinks and snacks around the campfire. We played a game when we were finished outside called Kings. It's a card game that was really fun.
Saturday we got up and ready and went to have breakfast. After breakfast we hit the outlet mall and shopped until we dropped. Literally. We were there for almost 5 hours! But we all got lots of great stuff and great deals. For dinner we walked across the street from the RV park to a place called Pelican Pub and Brewery. It was my first time going there and I was pretty impressed with the food and the service. After dinner we walked back to the camper, had another campfire and then played Apples to Apples until we were all too tired to play any longer.
Sunday morning we got up and packed up camp then walked over the beach before we headed home. I had such a fun weekend. It's nice to get away sometimes and have a good time with just the girls.

Where does the time go? My baby girl turned 10 last month on the 27th of September. She's getting so big and acting like a teenager already. We had a little birthday party for her at our apartment. We had the usual family and friends and she had 3 friends from school over too. Rachael is a little obsessed with Twilight at the moment and she wanted everything Twilight for her birthday! They didn't have any Twilight themed party decorations so she went with Tinkerbell. We had cake and ice cream and she opened her presents and then played with her friends after the party.

Weekend trip with the Girls

Back in August Jeremy, Taryn, Tamara and I took a trip down to Medford, Oregon for Jeremy's grandpa's birthday. His dad came up from Arizona to visit for a week too. We drove down on a Thursday and got there just in time for dinner and birthday cake.

Friday Jeremy went golfing with his dad and his uncles while the girls and I stayed at his Aunt's house for the day. Taryn and Tamara stayed in the pool for pretty much the whole day. They love the water. For dinner that night we went to a Restaurant called Sojis (I think that's what it was called). We had Japanese food that they cook right in front of you while they do a show with your food. The food was so good, the best fried rice ever!

Saturday we went to the lake for the day. We got to ride in Jeremy's uncles boat and ride a Jet Ski and the girls got to be pulled on inner tubes behind the boat. After the lake we went to Jeremy's grandpa's house for Authentic Guamanian food that his grandpa and his friend had made. Yummy that food was so good. We had fish and chicken and flan. For dessert we had more birthday cake.

Sunday morning we got up and ready to head home. It was such a fun weekend and it was so great to see Jeremy's family again.

Girls Annual Weekend (GAW)

Here we are playing Flip Cup, sister verses sister.

Me and Ange again.

July 10th through the 12th I went camping near Springfield Oregon with my cousin's and their friends. Every year they get together for their Girls Annual Weekend where they get away and go camping with no kids and no husbands/boyfriends. Girls only!

Friday, my friend Ange and I packed up and headed for the freeway to Springfield Oregon to meet up with my cousin. We got into town right about noon. Jeannette didn't get off work until 1 o'clock so we went and got some ice for the cooler and some lunch before we headed up to the mountains for some real camping. AKA no water and no toilets!!

When we got to camp, we unloaded the car and set up the tent. We were introduced to people as they showed up. We learned how to play Flip cup (which is the best drinking game ever) and we went to the creek to cool off and hang out. We all hung out and played games by the campfire until we tuckered out and went to bed.

The next night my sister showed up and we did pretty much the same things. We all sat around playing games and enjoying having no kids around and being as loud and crazy as we wanted to be.

I made so many great new friends and I cannot wait to go back next year!

3 Days of BBQs

Fourth of July weekend. Thursday, the second, we went over to Jeremy's cousin and his wife's new house. It was his cousin's birthday so they had a get together. We had BBQ pork, corn on the cob and fresh baked cobbler. Mmmm, so yummy. Jake and Robyn recently bought their house so it was our first time there. We had a great time visiting with everyone.

Friday, the third, we went over to Jeremy's mom's house for another BBQ. Her brother, Jeremy's uncle, and his wife were in town on a business trip. We had hamburgers and hotdogs. We played a Trivial Pursuit Scene It game on DVD and Pass the Ace. We spent most of the day there hanging out and visiting.

Saturday, the fourth, we went over to my sister's house for their annual BBQ. The kids had lots of fun like they always do, playing with their cousins, running around and lighting off fireworks.

Our Disneyland Vacation

This last week, Jeremy and I took the kids to Disneyland and California Adventure. We all had a really great time. It was our first family vacation that was longer than a weekend. Below is a slide show that I made with the pictures that were taken. Enjoy.

Our Trip to Las Vegas!!!

Jeremy and I took a trip to Las Vegas this last week. We've been a couple of times before and wanted to do and see different things this time. We left on Saturday afternoon. We landed in Las Vegas right on time. We went to our hotel to check in and then headed to Fremont Street, which is downtown Las Vegas for those who don't know. We had been there before, but missed out on seeing the Lazar Light Show, which is a show that they do every night up on the ceiling above all of the shops and casinos. Below is a picture of part of it. It didn't last very long, but it was kind of fun to watch.

Sunday night we watched a show called La Reve which is an aquatic show that plays at the Wynn with dancing, swimming and people were even swinging and doing tricks from the ceiling! The stage is in the center of a big dome and it goes up and down out of the water through out the show. This show was absolutely amazing to watch. We weren't allowed to take any pictures during the show for the safety of the performers, but below is one that we took when the show was over.

Monday and Tuesday Jeremy bowled in nationals, which was the main reason for our trip. Monday was his team bowling event and he did okay. He would have liked to have done a little better, but the lane conditions are so different when you play in big events. Tuesday was his doubles and singles events. He did good enough to win some money for both events. He was only 5 pins away from getting money for all events, so close! He won't know what he wins though until August when they mail out the checks. Nationals go from April to July. 17,000 teams signed up this year, 60,000 people! So it takes time for everyone to get a chance to bowl.
Above is Jeremy waiting nervously his first day and below is Jeremy and part of his team.

Monday night we walked over to Treasure Island to watch their free show that they do every night if it's not too windy. It's called Sirens of TI. It was kind of cool for a free show. There were so many people crowded around us so close together though that it kind of made uncomfortable and I was ready for it to be over. Below is a picture of part of it.

At the MGM they have a Lion Habitat that's always fun to stop and see. Of course they were sleeping when we stopped by to see them.

Here's a dark picture of me and Jeremy sitting at the Monorail station on our way to the Luxor to see Criss Angel's Believe. We didn't have any plans for Tuesday night so we got some tickets for half price. Our seats weren't the greatest, but for the price they weren't too bad. I enjoyed the show more than Jeremy did. He ended up getting sick and was ready for bed. Poor guy.
Aside from all of the bowling and shows, we did some shopping too. We brought back souvenirs for all of the kids from different casinos. We didn't gamble too much and we didn't drink too much, so it made for a memorable trip.
