Our Life Diet

Jeremy and I were both home yesterday with sick kids. Rachael was watching the Tyra Show and the topic of the day caught our attention. It was about weight loss and healthy life styles. We both sat down next to Rachael and watched for a while. The first diet that we saw was the Skinny Bitch Diet. This diet is Vegan and not for us. We gotta have our meat! Next they show a work out that was very similar to Turbo Jam, which I already have and love. Then they showed "Joy's Life Diet". This one sounded so great that I went out and bought the book. This book is not just a diet, but it is Four Steps to Thin Forever. It's a lifestyle change. The first week is about breaking your bad habits and the second and third weeks are about making good ones. It's about learning to try new things. Good things that are good for you. I ate a cod fish fillet for dinner tonight and actually enjoyed it! I have never liked any kind of fish before. And Jeremy ate a bowl of veggie soup and liked it! He hates veggies! I think this is going to be good for everyone in the family. Eventually, we'll have the kids eating like us too.

Jeremy's Birthday

Yesterday, February 17th, was Jeremy's 33rd birthday. Happy Birthday Honey! Sunday I made him some Chocolate Chunk Brownies that he had picked out. Friday I gave him his birthday present because he wanted it early. I got him a bottle of Knob Creek Whiskey aged 9 years that he had wanted to try. He likes it a lot. Sunday night we enjoyed his brownies and yesterday we went and had dinner with the people that I work with. It just so happened that my annual company dinner party was on Jeremy's birthday this year. We ate a place called BJ's Pizza. We had never eaten there before but had heard that it was good food. They had a full menu of just about everything, except for steak. Jeremy and I both ordered a Grilled Chicken Baked Potato. A huge baker potato with grilled chicken, Alfredo sauce, melted cheese and I had broccoli on mine. The food was really good and for dessert we had giant chocolate chip cookies with ice cream on top.

Valentine's Weekend

Jeremy and I had our Valentine's Day a week early this year. The kids were gone for the weekend so we made it work. Friday night we had dinner at Applebees and then went and saw He's Just Not That Into You. Saturday we went and saw 4 Christmases (I'm not too sure on the spelling?) and then had dinner at the Outback Steakhouse. After dinner we picked up Tamara. She wanted to stay the night. Sunday morning I went to Seattle and picked up the kids from their dad's house. While we were gone, Jeremy and Tamara spent the day together playing Miniature golf and hanging out at the mall.

Actual Valentine's Day weekend we had all of the kids. Friday night we hung out at home. Saturday night after dinner we all went and saw the movie Bolt which was very cute and very funny. Sunday morning we got up early and went bowling. It was very obvious once we started that it had been a long time since we had gone. We were all out of practice. Except for Jeremy of course. He subs on Tuesday nights in his bowling league. After Bowling, Tamara was ready to go back home and Dylan stayed the night with friend so the rest of us went out and had Mexican food for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.
