Okay, so I think that BJ's is our new favorite Restaurant! We've eaten there 3 times now in the last month. 3 times, 3 different menu items. All 3 times, very good.

Family Game Night
It's Friday night and all of the kids are here! Must mean Family Game Night!! We try on most Fridays to have a family game night. We try to mix things up and play different games each weekend. Sometimes we play poker and some times Pictureka. Tonight we decided on Wii Bowling. Jeremy went online and found a layout for seven players to play tournament style. Two players at a time for 12 rounds. You play until you lose two times. We all drew numbers one through seven to make it fair and totally by chance of who you play against. The Championship came down to Tamara and Cody. Cody had one loss and Tamara had zero losses. The final winner was Tamara with no losses!! That was really fun and we can't wait until next Friday to see what we're going to play next.

Cheap Dinner
Last night I didn't feel like cooking dinner and it had been a really long time since we had gone out to eat. We decided to go to the Olive Garden and use one of our gift cards that we had gotten for Christmas. When we got there we waited about 15 minutes for a table (which is a very awesome wait time for the Olive Garden). The Hostess showed us to our table and said that our waiter would be right with us. After waiting another 15 minutes with out even a hello from anybody, Jeremy started looking around to see if anyone was going to help us. A busboy was cleaning the table behind us and asked if anyone had helped us yet. Jeremy nicely told the guy no. Not even two minutes later, the manager came over and took our drink orders and started to take our food orders too since we already knew what we wanted. Our waiter finally came over and apologized for not realizing we were sitting there. Another manager came over and offered us free appetizers. By now our table is just loaded with Mozzarella Sticks, Bread Sticks, Dipping Sauces and Salads. Before we could even finish what we had , our dinners were out. They forgot Cody's pepperoni and sausage on his pizza so they brought him another one and then told us that Jeremy's dinner and Cody's dinner was free. When the final bill came it was only thirty three dollars for five of us to eat! Totally worth the wait.

Happy Birthday Dylan!!
My baby Boy is turning eight years old on Tuesday, the tenth. Where does the time go? Dylan loves baseball! So of course his party theme had to be baseball. It was just a small party at our place with usual family. Due to Dylan's bike accident earlier in the week, he wasn't able to get his invitations out to his friends at school. He still had fun and got mostly what he wanted. Bakugan Battle Brawlers and Tech Decks.

Helmets Save Lives!!
My poor baby was riding a friends bike yesterday after school and crashed into a moving car. He was flying down a hill, as fast as he could I'm sure, here at our apartments and ran right into the side of this guys vehicle. Jeremy had just gotten home from work and he and I were in the bedroom talking about his day when Dylan comes through the front door saying "mom" and another man's voice saying "Hello, Hello, Hello". I went to the door and the man said that Dylan had hit his car with his bike. Dylan wasn't crying so I asked the man if his car was okay and he just said "I'm more worried about you son". So I look at Dylan and there's tons of blood all down his leg. While Jeremy was cleaning up his leg, I was talking to the guy who left me his name and number and told me I should take him to get looked at and to please call him as soon as we get back home to let him know if Dylan was okay. Still in shock of it all, I was still calm. I went into the bathroom and his lips were bleeding and beginning to swell. I called a sitter right away for Cody and Rachael and Jeremy and I headed to the Emergency Room with Dylan.
As soon as we got there they took him straight back to Triage and about ten doctors and nurses were all around him checking him out and ordering tests. They were all so happy to hear that Dylan had been wearing his helmet. They said if probably saved his life. They did CT Scans on his head, face, neck and stomach and they took X-Rays of his chest and legs. His puncture on his leg was small, but was still bleeding the whole time we were there. All the labs and blood work came back good. No fractures and no broken bones. Now it was time to make his leg stop bleeding. They gave him Morphine and did a pressure wrap on it and it finally stopped bleeding. Next, they had to make sure he was able to walk on his leg. They put a Leg Brace on it and got him up out of the bed. He hobbled a bit and then we got to go home. He was so brave! Not one tear came from his eyes the whole time.
When we got home Cody and Rachael were so happy to see that Dylan was okay. Cody told him that if that had been him, he would have been crying like a baby the whole time. It was so cute.

Poker Tournament
Last night Jeremy and I went to a poker tournament at my boss' house. The kids stayed at my sister's house with her kids and our youngest brother was nicely bribed to watch all of the kids over there. I work with my brother in law and everyone at work was invited. It's a small work place, eight of us total.
Mike and his wife have a beautiful, great big house and they almost have their poker room finished. It will seat forty people once completed. Before we started, everyone was visiting and meeting other people that were there. Out of sixteen people, Jeremy got third place and won back my buy in and his plus ten more dollars. It was really fun last night and we can't wait until the next tournament.
Doctor's Visit
Friday Rachael and Dylan both had appointments to see their new doctor. We switched insurance companies the first of the year. They were just well check up appointments so their new doctor could meet them and get to know them. When the nurse was done with the weighing, measuring and the the blood pressure, she handed them each a hospital gown to wear instead of their clothes. Poor Dylan, the look on his face when the nurse left the room. He looked at me and asked if he was getting surgery? They never had to wear those gowns before when they went to see their other doctor. It was the cutest thing seeing his concerned look on his face.
When the doctor came in I told her about his concern and she very nicely explained to him that she was just going to do a whole lot of boring talk with mom and then with him and some more boring talk with mom. Then she told him that she was going to check him out from head to toe to make sure he's growing the way he should be. She made him feel much better after that. She did find a questionable mole behind his ear so she referred him to see the Dermatologist. She said it's probably nothing, but just to be safe and she told him to always wear sunscreen when he's playing outside.
Now it was Rachael's turn. Rachael told the doctor about how she gets chest pains when she runs around too much. She doesn't get them all the time, but when she does get them, they hurt. The doctor checked her out and sent her across the hall for X-rays and an EKG. She was afraid of it hurting so I explained that they're just taking a picture of her chest. She asked the doctor if she could have a copy to show all of her friends! The EKG was just a bunch of stickers and wires stuck all over her.
We took the results back to the nurse and they each got their second dose of the chicken pox vaccine. When the doctor came back in she said she looked at the test results and she didn't see anything wrong but that she was sending them to the specialist for a second look. I really like their new doctor a lot and so do the kids. On the way home, we stopped and they got milkshakes from Dairy Queen.
